16 -FIGHT AGAINST DISCRIMINATION
Discrimination is not a recent phenomenon and remains difficult to combat despite, in recent years, the adoption of increasingly repressive laws against the perpetrators of discriminatory acts and the creation of the High Authority for the Fight against Discrimination and for Equality (HALDE) in December 2004. The institution was replaced by the Defender of Rights on 1 May 2011. Cases of discrimination are numerous and are present in all areas of daily life such as access to employment or housing, enrollment in school or going to a discotheque.
The principle of equality between individuals nevertheless remains a fundamental right enshrined in numerous French, European and international legal texts. The main legal texts relating to the fight against discrimination can be consulted in the section reference texts, discrimination .
This discrimination is however put in place by many governments currently under the pretext of a health crisis.
As a result, our lodges welcome anyone without distinction "operated between natural persons on the basis of their origin, their sex, their family situation, their pregnancy, their physical appearance, the particular vulnerability resulting from their economic situation, apparent or known to its author, their surname, place of residence, state of health, loss of autonomy, disability, genetic characteristics, morals, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, their political opinions, their trade union activities, their ability to express themselves in a language other than French, their membership or non-membership, real or supposed, of an ethnic group, a Nation, a so-called race or a particular religion. »
Without either distinction according to its vaccination status whatever it is.
17- Rules of life
The Passage is a complex of 4 gîtes, next to each other, surrounding a common central courtyard.
This place welcomes people from all walks of life, of all social positions, of all sizes, of all colors, with or without disabilities and from all over the world. We each have our customs and habits, our lifestyles...
We therefore ask everyone to behave with respect for the other. Anyone you meet in the access corridor or the central courtyard is, like you, a tenant, a vacationer. Politeness and courtesy are required.
The central courtyard is furnished with tables and chairs and a barbecue is available free of charge. We thank you for leaving the premises clean and tidy. Take advantage of this place to get to know each other and share moments of conviviality!
You can party in your respective lodgings always having in mind not to disturb others. We ask for silence from 11:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. Given the thickness of the walls of this old building, a normal conversation (inside) does not get along with the neighbors. On the other hand, whether from your private terrace or the central courtyard, you are likely to annoy your neighbors.
A deposit of 150 € is requested upon your arrival. This is to ensure that you leave the premises in a proper state of cleanliness and to guarantee against major damage.
A broken glass or plate does not matter and you will not be charged. On the other hand, if you forget to report it, the next tenant will not have it, and that is important.
18- My personal commitment
I, Anaïs, owner of the premises, undertake to ensure that your stay at The Passage is as pleasant as possible. Don't hesitate to ask me to improve your stay, your comfort and especially at the slightest problem. It often takes very little to solve a problem or simply improve a stay.
I tried to think of everything that seems essential to me, both in kitchen equipment and in bedrooms and bathrooms. It is difficult to equip 4 gîtes as you would your own house, but if you are missing something (a cake pan, an electric beater, a fondue set, 3 eggs, etc.), please let me know. ask, I can probably help you out.
Also remember to submit your comments and ideas which could, at a lower cost, improve the comfort of each gîte!
I wish you a wonderful stay in The Passage hoping that you will make a good move in history and discover stories...
